That’s according to the Daily Mirror today, who claim that the Belgian youngster could be farmed out if Daniel Sturridge stays fit.
Sturridge could make his Liverpool return against Norwich today after months out following a hip operation, and the Mirror believe that, should his return to a success, the Reds would allow Origi to depart the club on a temporary basis.
Origi spent last season on loan at Lille in France, where he scored 9 goals in 44 games. He started his first game for Liverpool against Bordeaux on Thursday evening, but was unable to get on the scoresheet.
With Danny Ings and Christian Benteke now at the club, a loan for Origi is not beyond the realms of possibility. However Sturridge’s record with injury could persuade Liverpool to keep hold of the Belgian forward for the time being.
